Vote Josh Lyle

Mayor   |   Rapid City   |   June 6th

This election is about the future of every man, woman, and child in Rapid City. This election is not about gaining access to the Mayor’s office, but putting the power back into the hands of the people.

As a local businessman, I understand the struggles the local community endures. I am genuinely excited to do whatever it takes to deliver safer neighborhoods, better schools, a dynamic downtown, economic growth, reduced red tape, grant-funded support for working moms with childcare costs, and our first Rapid City Costco.

With your support, we will make Rapid City, the greatest city in the United States of America.

Vision, Issues, & Values

Why Am I Running?

Life Experience
I was raised as a “Ward of the State” moved from different states, cities, communities, and schools before the age of 10, I managed to keep my older brother with me through all of the chaos. I earned a business degree and started multiple business, some that made millions.
Safer Neighborhoods
Our downtown will improve. Everything is on the table. We will have a thriving downtown community again. Our courageous police force will patrol the neighborhoods with high crime rates. I will ask every community member what I can do as Mayor to make them feel safer.
The pothole problem and snow removal issues will be addressed immediately with a pothole hotline and snow removal hotline system.
Strengthening Our School System

Let’s go back to “Old School” teaching style. Pledge of Allegiance in the morning following Math, English, History and Social Studies. Recess, lunch and then after school sports.

Working With a New City Council
I will bring the City Council together when making decisions so we can have common goals and push priority items through faster.
Sports and Entertainment
Our citizens want more than a few concerts and indoor football. Let’s get aggressive and bring exciting sporting events to life with the assistance of the new Rapid City Sports Authority.
Proud Second Amendment City
We want Rapid City to be a shining example of what happens in a community when the Second Amendment is defended and promoted.
Freedom and The American Dream
From fighting the mask mandate to starting my own business, I will always stand for our freedom and I will fight to protect the American Dream in Rapid City.
Supporting Small Businesses
Extend tax breaks for downtown businesses to strengthen the economy and find grants to assist in higher wages to address labor shortages.
Lowering Municipal Taxes at the Airport
I will work with the City Council to lower the municipal taxes and fees on airline tickets that our airlines must pass along to our passengers. The days of driving to Denver to catch a cheaper flight need to end.
